what have i become?
I believe I am a care giver. I love to take charge and help out everyone around me.ONE DAY I discovered that a mission in my life is to make a difference. I want to be able to effect the lives of others in a positive way. Since I have this goal in the back of my head I've always been inspired to do volunteer work. I have done volunteer work almost all my life. I enjoy seeing the impact I have in the community, nation, and world. It gives me a sense of warmth inside me. Just this past year I have been involved in an organization called Invisible Children foundation. This program helps spread awareness about the civil war in Uganda. After finding out about this horrible tragedy that is ignored by the media I knew I had to help do what I could to get closer to ending this war. I wrote my Jr. paper about this topic. I was mortified to find out the horrific acts happening to the children in Uganda. Since then I have been helping raise money and spread the word for this Foundation. Thus, they can help rescue children that are kidnapped into the LRA army an opposition group trying to over throw the government. I have been inspired to do my part to end this war and I hope that ONE DAY I can go to Uganda and help these children personally. Another thing that makes me who I am is my religion being Jewish has influenced my life in every way possible. I have made the best friends through my temple and embraced a culture for many years. I enjoy going to meet other Jewish teens through nfty youth group! It only took me ONE DAY at a nfty event to fall even more in love with my religion and the values it teaches me. I hope ONE DAY I can go to Israel again to teach in underprivileged schools. Lastly my friends and family help define me as a person. I have had some of my closest friends since I was 2 years old. I love everyone of them and they accept me for who I am. They are out going, caring, and loving people. My family has been the best support system I can wish for. They are always there for me and teach me about my culture, background, and new things around the world. I never could have got to where I am today with out there help. I hope ONE DAY I will have a family of my own to share the love my family has given me. That is who I am and what I hope to become. =)
one day one day .....

I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play. one day...." ~ matisyahu
